Why does the Libyan government regret attacks on British embassy when Britain participates in bombing Libya?

I don't believe that the Libyan government regrets the attacks on the British embassy. I think Gaddafi himself ordered the attacks on the embassy. I doubt Gaddafi's son was even killed. It's foolish to believe anything the Libyan government says because they're liars. They're saying and doing anything they can to try to get support for Gaddafi and keep the people in the western cities of Libya from knowing what's really going on in their country. They have always done this.
