Seriously, why is the Kardashian family so famous?

Other than Kim making sex tapes with Ray-Jay and getting loads of cosmetic surgery, why are they? I'll admit they are pretty girls but they have no talent, yet they get all this fame and publicity for doing nothing. There are so many people out there that have real talents, whether its singing, acting, art, modeling, etc Why?
