Gall stones and gallbladder test will I be admitted?

I went to the doctor today because of sever right side and back pain with an upset stomach. The doctor ousts a lot on my stomach and thinks my gallbladder may be inflamed. I have I think a sonagrAm or ultrasound something like that at the hospital in the morning. If it's galstones will they admit right away for sugary or send me home and schedule it for a latter date. I'm just wondering others exerpirnce so I can be mentally prepared
